After your observations

Obtaining your data

CARMA data are archived at the NCSA. They should generally be available a few hours after the observation concludes, subject to network constraints. Users at the CARMA sites should contact local staff for the archive login. Other users should email carma@ncsa.uiuc.edu for access. This address should also be used for help with difficulties accessing your data from the archive.

Data quality

Observers at the site run a data quality assessment script ("Quality") and record their own notes and the final grade. Observations graded C+ or below may be made up later.

Data reduction

CARMA Miriad Page

Most data are calibrated and reduced using the Miriad software package. This site contains the CARMA miriad distribution, CARMA data reduction Cookbook, and related information.
